We’ve been keeping Koa under wraps for a while, but he’s finally matured into a bull! There is one small caveat: Koa has a mild crop ear. We honestly didn’t notice it until he was about 18 months old and shed his winter coat — you couldn’t tell at all before that. We aren’t offering straws from him, but we have used him in our program through embryo work. We’re able to sex the embryos for heifers, and we personally don’t mind a mild crop ear on a heifer.
