A cottonmouth gliding across the water in the Everglades. Also known as the water moccasin, this is one of Florida’s venomous snakes. I see cottonmouths on most trips out in the swamp, they can be common and I’ve even seen 25 in a night before. But I have never seen the "aggressive man-chasing cottonmouth" everyone tells me about.
